#mEm.Lan 6 - What would you like??
First off i would like to apologies for the lack of updates with details about #mEm.Lan 6, a few certain things have popped up since the last event which forced us to look at things in greater depth before jumping straight into the next event.
But now that is out of the way we have the ability to start looking forward to the next event and this is where we would like you input.
With all the large upcoming lan events in August we have been thinking of offering a bootcamp service for teams that are looking at playing at i31 and CGS Combine.
We was thinking of running the next #mEm.Lan the weekend before i31 so that teams could have a nice practise run before hand.
Now of course this would mean that we would only be looking at doing CS:S the entire weekend but we will of course still stick up the off Warsow or Rune server (or anything else you want) for when your not playing CS:S
So we would like to know what you think about this? Do you want a i31 warmup event? or would you rather we wait till after August and just go for another Fun #mEm.lan?

Well, i must admit, the possibility of another fun/slightly competative mem lan would be great. As the last one was. But LAN’s are based around team playing etc.
On one hand it would be good for teams etc, but on the other for casual players, it would be fun, but not as fun. Sitting there whilst teams play together, all day, all night. Cant really see the appeal in going with out a team if it will be a team event.
If the fun is still there in going on your own, yes count me in, but if i need to find a team that can all attend beforehand, count me out, working full time, girlfriend and mates, i just dont have the time to mess around any more.
Sorry if this seems whiney, but i have attended lans without a team before and it wasnt the greatest fun
I am sure you can still attract a big croud and interest, so i would have though team based lans was the way forward. IF you can make sure that its team based but the singels can still ahve fun, then i will see you there
PS: Have you considered:
1. How many teams are going to I-series that live up here/close to the mem venue?
2. How many teams are going to I-series that can afford a lan a week before the i series?

In all honesty, looking at what i put, i would still attend with a team or not, the last one was a really good do and im pretty positive they would not be team games 24/7!
Probably just one thing you need to bare in mind, good team games, but good for the others too!
Im sure either way you guys will pull off another great event!
